This video is a complete course on personal finance. We will start by defining basic concepts such as money and budgeting, and then move on to talk about financial products. If you are interested in a conference, send a message to the following email: [email protected] Key Concepts: Money: Generally accepted medium of exchange for the purchase of goods and services. It can be in the form of coins, bills or electronic money. Cut-off Date: The day of the month on which the bank closes the billing cycle of a credit card and generates the statement, reflecting all purchases and payments made up to that point. Payment Date: Deadline date on which a credit card holder must make at least the minimum payment to avoid late fees or additional interest. Minimum Payment: Minimum amount that must be paid on a credit card before the payment date to avoid charges for non-payment. However, paying only the minimum generates interest on the remaining balance. Interest-Free Payment: Total amount that must be paid on a credit card before the payment date in order not to incur interest. It is the total balance on the account statement. Budget: Financial plan that details projected income and expenses over a given period. It helps manage money effectively and control spending. Fixed Income: Investment in which interest payments and principal are predetermined, such as bonds or term deposits. It offers greater security and stability, although with generally lower returns. Variable Income: Type of investment where returns are not guaranteed, such as stocks. The value of investments can rise or fall depending on market performance. Credit Card: Financial instrument that allows purchases to be made on credit, with an established limit. The balance can be paid in full or in part at later dates, generating interest if the total is not paid. Debit Card: Card linked to a bank account that allows payments or withdrawals to be made directly from the funds available in the account, without incurring debt.
