Throughout history, there have been many competitions held in Brazilian football, whether state, regional or national. Some were just to boost box office revenues, without any official status or seal of approval from the highest football authority. In short, they were friendly competitions. Others, on the other hand, gave a place in the Copa Libertadores, recognition and history on official websites, as well as stars alluding to such achievement. The Brazilian championship was first held, according to historical data, in 1971, and the first champion was the Atlético-MG team. Before 1971, there were two national competitions, which were considered the national championship of the time, namely the Taça Brasil and the Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa. Given this characterization, in 2010 the CBF decided to make these competitions official as titles of the Brazilian Championship, something that generated questions and debates from both fans and the mainstream media, since the Taça Brasil had some clubs winning the championship after only 4 games had been played. Recently, Atlético-MG has raised the possibility of sending a request to the CBF to have the State Champions Cup, played in 1937 and won by the club, officially recognized as a Brazilian championship title. Given this possibility, we have gathered in this video other competitions from the past that were also nicknamed the Champions Cup, and which could eventually be included and also recognized as Brazilian championships by the CBF. #BrazilianCampeonat #CBF #NationalChampions Tags: Brazilian Championship, CBF, titles by fax, National Champions, National Titles, Greatest national champions, Atlético Brazilian Champion, Botafogo Brazilian Champion, Champions Cup, State Champions Cup, Atlético-MG Titles, Botafogo Titles, Bangu Titles, América-RJ Titles, Grêmio Maringá, Extinct Competitions, Extinct Championships, Recognized Titles, CBD, Galo Champions Cup, Ice Champion, Brazilian Championship Finals,
