Como - 8 March 2015 The COMOinTRENO association with Club Treni Brianza and IUBILANTES Onlus, in collaboration with Centostazioni Spa, Co.Mo.Do and Galleria Baumgartner Mendrisio and with the patronage of the municipality of Como - as part of the VIII National Day of Forgotten Railways - organised a model railway exhibition on Sunday 8 March in the Atrium of the COMO SAN GIOVANNI station for Sunday 8 March 2015. H0 scale models were present: . Bonalumi steam locomotive depot . modular model railway of the former Malnate-Grandate (Co-Va) railway . first modules of the model railway under construction on the Como-Lecco FS line. The event coincided with the tenth anniversary of the bas-relief depicting Saint Peter the Martyr, whose figure is linked to the history of the place where the current station stands (which derives its name from the ancient monastery of San Giovanni in Pedemonte).
