A Super 8 film rarity by Cologne amateur filmmaker Hermann Landvogt. In 1979/80 he toured Cologne's squares with his camera, including the market in his home district of Nippes. Other locations on the markets and squares tour will follow shortly: 100 years of the cathedral's completion at the Alter Markt, flower markets at the Alter Markt & St. Gereon, WDR folk festival at Roncalliplatz/Cathedral 1979 and much more. Hermann Landvogt: Born in 1941 (*Düren), long-standing member of the Cologne Amateur Filmmakers' Club with , with a film life's work from the 50s to the 80s. Landvogt came to film through photography. Culturally interested, he photographed events for the Cologne Philharmonic and at the Museum Ludwig in the 80s and 90s. Among the approximately 100 film reels from his estate in the archive of the Cologne Film Heritage Foundation, there are around 20 from and about Cologne, as well as numerous (long-distance) travel films.
