A problematic clutch, shortly after replacement or repair, is often an alignment error during assembly. Damage such as damaged, broken clutch disc centers, wear on the frames or damage to torsion dampers or similarly to the torsion springs. During operation, these defects are usually noticeable by the following: The clutch does not disengage smoothly The gears rattle when changing gears Difficulties in transmission, gears do not change easily Whistling and idling from a highly loaded crankshaft bearing In the case of an alignment error, or otherwise angular or parallel displacement, the input rotation axis of the gearbox and the crankshaft are not in place or are at an angle to each other. Through the rotational movement, the transmission input shaft tries to balance the displacement with the clutch disc. This is possible up to a point, which is why the clutch disc has such technical solutions for both types of displacement. For types of displacement outside its tolerance zone, the technical solutions may no longer compensate for the problem. This causes enormous wear in the clutch hub area, which leads to total clutch failure in a short time.
