Visited on December 27, 2024. A day trip to Hallasan from Seoul. 06:05 Gimpo-Jeju first flight, 07:10 Jeju arrival, take a taxi right after leaving the airport to the entrance of Gwaneumsa Temple (30 minutes, 15,000 won) 07:50 Arrive at the entrance of Gwaneumsa Temple. You can climb the mountain around 08:00. If you get there and run right away, you can make a reservation for 05:00-08:00, but it's only a few minutes difference, so it's better to make a reservation for 08:00 to be safe. From Gwaneumsa Temple entrance to Samgakbong Shelter, it takes 2 and a half hours for regular hikers, and 3 hours is enough if you go slowly. It takes 4 hours to get to the summit, and 4 and a half hours if you rest. Since you have to pass Samgakbong Shelter before 11:30, you should leave Gwaneumsa Temple entrance by 9:00 at the latest. Since everyone has to descend from the summit at 13:30, it is better to go up as early as possible considering the time to take pictures and rest (if you are late, the waiting line for the summit certification will be over an hour). In particular, the lower part of the trail is the same forest path with zero views for about 2 hours, so you can pass through it when it is dark. If you leave at 8 and arrive at the summit after 12, you will not have enough time to enjoy the summit after waiting in the certification line for an hour. You will also not have enough time to eat. If it is not a day trip, it would be better to leave the entrance around 6-7 am to enjoy the hike leisurely. If you turn on the location information at the summit and apply with a picture taken, you can receive a summit certification. It is not very useful, but...ㅎ #Hallasan #Baeknokdam #Gwaneumsa Course
