From June 1944, the concentration camp complex "Kaufering" was built with eleven subcamps of the Dachau concentration camp. Three semi-underground bunkers for German aircraft production were to be built here, exploiting the labor of predominantly Jewish prisoners. The mortality rate was particularly high due to the catastrophic supply and hygiene conditions and the completely inadequate accommodation in clay tube buildings and earth huts. Such clay tube barracks can only be seen at the site of the former Camp VII. Nina Kiel, a speaker at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, addresses the catastrophic care of the prisoners in this video. She also shows one of the clay tube barracks and reports on the background of this building complex.
