Some keys to orient oneself in thought in times of pandemic. In this second video, Professor Claudine Tiercelin, holder of the Metaphysics and Philosophy of Knowledge chair, reminds us that the philosopher is no better equipped than ordinary mortals to respond to subjects of vital importance such as those posed to us by the pandemic period we are going through, and that he must always, in general, guard against the double temptation of seeking to "organize souls" and to say more than he knows. However, the situation we are experiencing does offer the philosopher - and this time is not customary - many themes for reflection, borrowed, depending on the case, from the philosophy of perception, knowledge, science, the mind, or even metaphysics. Professor Tiercelin identifies at least six that deserve to be examined and that she will analyze in the weeks and months to come, to keep the thread with her listeners. This is obviously not about proposing a new "guide for the lost", but simply suggesting a few "keys", at a time when we all feel a little "disoriented", to help us orient ourselves or rather "re-orient" ourselves in thought.
