This training activity with teachers explores, in a dialogue-based manner, the history of education as a banner of struggle for black social movements in Brazil, which culminated in Law 10.639/03 and amended the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education. The proposed class covers the post-abolition period, the role of the Frente Negra Brasileira (FNB) and other movements in the educational struggle, demands of the Movimento Negro Unificado (MNU), the process of creating Law 10.639/03, as well as perceptions and challenges for the effective implementation of this legislation.
