City of Poetry May 23-26, 2024 Paweł Próchniak talks to Ryszard Krynicki about his poems and the poetry of Józef Czechowicz. During the meeting, poems by Ryszard Krynicki and Józef Czechowicz will be heard. --- The City of Poetry Festival has existed since 2008. It is implemented by the House of Words of the "Brama Grodzka - Teatr NN" Center. The City of Poetry is a space for conversations about poetry, meetings with poets, but also various social and artistic activities popularizing poetry and showing its power. A characteristic feature of the City of Poetry is its socialization - every year, the festival program includes, among others, meetings with poets and poetry in private apartments (the Mieszkanie Poezji program) and initiatives in the city space undertaken by the residents of Lublin (the Territories of Poetry activity). The heart of the City of Poetry is the Agora, but all its squares, streets and alleys are no less important and valuable.
