Historical route of the First World War traced with a circular path that starts from the gates of Monte Pasubio, here is the Papa refuge. It starts with a very steep climb where you pass through the ruins of a military refuge, to then arrive at the entrance of the last tunnel built by the Italian military called Galleria del Generale Papa. You go through it with a fairly powerful torch as the tunnel goes all downhill and inside there are two long staircases. Once you arrive at the exit of the tunnel you find yourself on the path that leads to the Palon peak, to then continue on the Dente Italiano, you go down and up on the Dente Austriaco, you go around the Austrian trenches and then get back on the path that leads to the Sette croci, the path continues towards the military church called the church of Santa Maria. You continue and arrive at the former military cemetery. The path opens into a mule track and you find yourself at the gates of Monte Pasubio where we started from, for the return it is recommended to go back via the Scarubbi road. Have a good walk!!
