Every year in France, dozens of churches, abbeys or priories are put up for sale. The owners - the State for properties dating from before 1905, or the Church for buildings built after 1905 - often have to sell these properties for purely economic reasons. Sometimes, it is ordinary individuals who have themselves acquired places of worship in the past who decide to put their property up for sale again. As a result, a little-known market has opened up: the church business. Who sells, who buys? How do you find the rare gem? Can you do anything with a building from religious heritage? Through the journey of our various witnesses, we will answer all these questions, to identify the economic and human issues of this new market.
