Let's visit the church of Gesù, also known as Casa Professa, one of the most important baroque churches in Palermo and in the whole of Sicily. The church stands in the square of the same name, in the heart of Palermo, at the entrance to the Ballarò district. Inside there are countless stuccos by Serpotta, a Sicilian sculptor from the early eighteenth century. Some might not appreciate this style because it could be excessive. Holy Mass times: Monday to Saturday 7:00, 8:00 Sundays and holidays 7:00, 11:00, 12:00, 18:00. Opening hours: Weekdays: 6:30-13:00, 16:00-19:00. Sundays and holidays: 6:30-12:30, 17:00 18:30. Accessing from the church it is possible to visit the museum of the Society of Jesus and the oratory of the Sabbath, the sacristy and the crypt.
