About :

Frédéric Chopin is recognised throughout the world as one of the greatest musicians in history. His piano compositions have gone down in music history and are now part of universal culture. In this documentary video in Spanish we tell you the complete biography of Chopin, so that you know in detail who Frédéric Chopin was and the difficulties he faced throughout his life until his death from tuberculosis. #biography #chopin #music Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin was born on March 1, 1810 in the Polish town of Zelazowa Wola, near the country's capital, Warsaw. His father, Nicolas, was a French immigrant who had arrived in Poland when he was barely sixteen years old and who, despite not having a great education, because he came from a humble family, was a teacher, mainly of French and French literature, subjects that he taught to children of aristocratic families. He played the flute and the violin. His mother was Polish and her name was Justyna Krzyzanowska; Fryderyk came from a poor noble family. She sang and played the piano. The couple had four children. Fryderyk was the second to be born, and had three sisters: Ludwika, the eldest, who was his first piano teacher, Izabella and Emilia, the youngest of the four. When Fryderyk was only one year old, the family moved to live in the Polish capital because his father had obtained a position as a French teacher at the Warsaw Lyceum. At the early age of six, the little boy already stood out as a talented pianist, so his parents found a professional musician to be his teacher: the Polish composer of Czech origin Adalbert Zywny. Many years later, as an adult, living in France, his relationship with the writer George Sand was very famous. A few months after beginning their romance in 1838, she and Frédéric travelled outside France with the novelist's two children: Maurice, who was fifteen, and Solange, who was ten. The reasons? They were largely looking for a more favourable, milder climate for the composer's poor health, who suffered from chronic breathing problems and the previous year had been forced to stay in bed for several weeks with very high fevers, vomiting blood and very tired, among other symptoms. The fact is that the chosen destination was the island of Mallorca, a stay that the writer told us about in her book 'A Winter in Mallorca'. They arrived in Palma on 8 November. That decision by Aurore was not at all beneficial for Chopin's health, as we will see below. For a week they stayed at the French consulate and then settled in a farm they rented, called Son Vent, on the outskirts of Palma. At first, Chopin was amazed by that paradisiacal island, but after a few weeks it started to rain heavily – the composer's stay coincided with a particularly rainy winter in Mallorca – the same rains from which he had been fleeing from France and which endangered the fragile health of the Polish composer. In fact, at the end of that same month of November he began to show serious symptoms of tuberculosis, then called consumption, and, as it was contagious, the owner of the villa urged them to leave their accommodation. They also had to pay for the costs of disinfecting the place. Thank you for visiting our channel. We are Raquel de la Morena and Pedro Estrada, journalists and writers.
