In the Chopin Year, Warsaw presented a film in which the 19th-century city was recalled - the one that young Fryderyk knew. The composer lived in Warsaw for 20 years. There are many places associated with it. These are the apartments where the Chopins lived, the University of Warsaw where he was educated, churches and halls of palaces where he gave concerts, cafes where he frequented, and finally the Church of the Holy Cross, where, according to Chopin's last will, his heart was laid to rest. Despite the passage of time, and especially the destruction of Warsaw during World War II, many of these places survived, and we can find them mainly on Krakowskie Przedmieście. The thirty-minute film Chopin's Warsaw, which premiered on February 19, presents them as they are today as places commemorating Chopin's life in our city. "Chopin`s Warsaw is a cinematic journey around the city of Warsaw in the company of Frycek. That`s the name that was given to Fryderyk Chopin in his youth by his friends and family.
