The Museum of Moscow is launching a series of small online meetings with Moscow experts. While we can’t walk around our favorite places in Moscow, we suggest talking about them. The second meeting will be dedicated to the Chistye Prudy district – monuments of constructivism, apartment buildings and narrow medieval streets. The combination of water, greenery and beautiful architecture has always created a special mood in certain corners of Moscow. Chistye Prudy is a body of water that needs no introduction: dozens of feature films have been shot here. In the 17th century, palace settlements and courtyards of foreigners were dotted here, in the 19th century a boulevard for walks appeared, churches, chambers and apartment buildings grew and rose around. The 20th century also left several remarkable buildings on the body of the district. Chistye Prudy is a place of romantic torments, straightforward earnings, literature and art. Lecturer — Pavel Gnilorybov, Moscow historian, research fellow at the Museum of Moscow, creator of the telegram channel "Architectural Excesses" Moderator — Vladimir Masich, head of the City Excursion Bureau of the Museum of Moscow. The schedule of the next talks is http://mosmuseum.ru/lectures/p/razgov... __________________________________________ Short lectures will be accompanied by a dialogue: we invite you to share your stories related to the discussed areas of Moscow and ask questions. The stories you tell will become part of the museum's collection and may be included in subsequent exhibition and publishing projects. The project is being implemented within the framework of the Greater Moscow program, which is aimed at studying Moscow districts, preserving and popularizing the tangible and intangible heritage of the districts, providing methodological support to district libraries and cultural centers in Moscow studies work, as well as involving district and local communities in joint activities to preserve the history of the city's districts.
