Over the last 10 years, thousands of farmers in China have put their ploughs aside and gotten involved in e-commerce - with great success. E-commerce has made these farmers rich, and they have become role models for a whole new generation in China who would like to say goodbye to hard work in agriculture and start working properly. This is also the new trend in Yunnan Province: There, the young farmer's son and entrepreneur Su Junping has already made a fortune selling silver teapots over the Internet - 300 people from his village work for him, all of whom became wealthy because of him. 10 years ago and 2000 kilometers away from Yunnan, in Zhejiang Province, Lu Zhenhong was probably one of the first to set up an online shop: He sold and bought camping equipment and was so successful that he was able to pay thousands of employees very well. In 2017 alone, the Chinese ordered goods worth 800 million euros over the Internet. Their government supports this change and encourages the villagers to exchange their hard life on the land for one in front of the screen. #china #ecommerce #reportage Video available until 01/01/2027 Link to the media library: https://www.arte.tv/de/videos/085121-...
