More than 100 children in Zhmerinka are engaged in intellectual sports for free. The royal game is popularized in all schools and the Extracurricular Center. The Department of Youth and Support, together with the Chess Federation, organized a chess tournament for children aged 7 to 17 years. 66 players took part, among whom the prize-winners and winners were determined. The absolute winner of the tournament was the student of Lyceum No. 4 Yefrem Skakun. He received the main cup of the competition and the title of the best player of the "Zhmerinska Autumn-2024" tournament. The head of the chess federation, Natalya Vikulova, the chief specialist of the youth and sports department, Alina Bondarenko, and the chief judge of the competition, Dmytro Kovolov, congratulated the young athletes, handed over gifts, medals, diplomas, and a cup. Prize places in their age category were won by: Kateryna Kiyashko; Daryna Nadraga; Diana Kochmaruk; Rodion Mordyak; David Bodnar; Oleksiy Lysakov; Matvii Kobylanskyi; Olfovych Artem; Mark Mordiak; Nicole Pokryshka; Emilia Melnyk; Polina Shvets; Anna Sikorska; Matviy Myhar; Damir Galaida; Konstantin Kapshuk; Kateryna Komaha; Volodymyr Morozov; Bohdan Slyusar; Ilya Korzhanivskyi; Yanitska Anna; Anastasia Karpeychyk; Polina Nesteruk; Konstantin Bondar; Timur Black tooth; Ephraim Skakun.
