Change the entire brake yourself including riveting the pads using simple tools Hello everyone, today we're tackling the drum brake on the Deutz. We want to and will repair it ourselves using simple means and rivet on new pads. The brake is a safety-relevant component. I'm showing MY work here and everyone has to decide for themselves whether they think they can do it or not. If you make mistakes with a brake, you can end up in dangerous situations! I just wanted to say it. -Dismantling the drum -Function of the swivel and mechanics -Dismantling the shoes -Dismantling the pads -Riveting on the pads -Assembling the shoes and mechanics (hanging in the springs) -Functional test -Assembling the drum I hope this video explains and shows the entire process of a drum brake. I ordered the pads from Delegro.nl (hand and foot brake). The fit was very good and there were enough rivets included. Now the braking system will last for the next few decades.
