Have you ever wondered how people who suffer from all kinds of prejudice deal with it every day? Being stopped from entering a place or getting a dirty look in the street can trigger everyday situations of feeling oppressed. And only those who experience it firsthand know. So, how should we combat both veiled and explicit prejudice every day? With ten years of experience in the market, journalist Maíra Azevedo has versatility as her trademark. She has worked in the most diverse areas of social communication. In 2014, she received the Abdias do Nascimento journalism award. In 2015, she was elected one of the 25 most influential black women on the internet. She is a consultant for the Globo network, was part of the team of writers for the new season of the series Vai que Cola, broadcast on Multishow, and is considered a phenomenon on social media, since all of her posts are organic. She currently has 340 thousand followers on Facebook alone, but some videos have over seven million views. The YouTube channel has 70,000 subscribers, but the number of views exceeds one million. The Instagram account is more recent, with 90,000 followers. Tia Má is a partner of the program Encontro com Fátima Bernardes and the first black woman to have a stand-up in Brazil.
