You are also welcome to read ⏩ https://bit.ly/HWS-Syndrom_Blog and if you want to know everything about it ❎ Order my book THE BACK PAIN BIBLE: https://bit.ly/Rückenschmerzbibel ✅ Cervical spine syndrome: What is that actually? Did you receive this diagnosis from your doctor? Or probably read up on the term and about it on the Internet? Before you start with exercises, medication, appointments with an osteopath or even discussions about operations, you should first watch this video. Because not all cervical spine syndromes are the same and if you follow my tips from the video then many questions and useless measures will probably be unnecessary and, above all, there is a high probability that your pain will soon be over. Upper cervical spine syndrome Upper cervical spine syndrome affects the three upper vertebrae of the spine. There are often blockages (!) of the C1 to C3 vertebrae, which cause long-lasting headaches. These tension headaches start in the neck area and extend over the back of the head to the forehead. Lower cervical spine syndrome Lower cervical spine syndrome affects the vertebrae C4 to C7. With this condition, patients often report pain and dysfunction starting from the neck, over the shoulders and into the arms. In addition to pain in the affected limbs, tingling or even numbness in the arms can also occur. Very common causes here are tension and problems with the muscles or fascia. The following classification is crucial: 1. Functional causes 2. Degenerative causes 3. Post-traumatic causes 4. Inflammatory causes 5. Congenital causes In around 80-90% of cases, functional problems, i.e. problems with the muscles, ligaments, fascia and tendons, are the cause of cervical spine syndrome. The treatment clearly depends on the cause. And that is precisely why there is NO clear pattern. There is no black and white. The process again: 1. rule out other, worse, diagnoses, 2. identify the causes, sometimes a mixture is unfortunately possible and then 3. select or determine the therapy based on this.
