The highlight of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia was a parade on the European Avenue. More than 4,357 people and 236 pieces of equipment took part in it. 3,425 soldiers, including active reserves, were involved in the parade, which had its premiere here. Members of the components of the Integrated Rescue System, i.e. professional firefighters, police officers, paramedics, as well as the Municipal Police Hl. of Prague and the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic was 835. There were also units of the Castle Guard and the Honor Guard of the Czech Republic. A novelty compared to 2008 was the participation of the Honor Guard of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic and the honor units of France, the United States of America, Great Britain and Italy with national flags. The equipment was presented by the army and the IZS units From the army equipment, for example, the modernized T72 M4CZ tank, IVECO armored vehicles, Pandur armored personnel carriers, DANA self-propelled howitzers, specially modified Tatra 815, JAS-39 Gripen fighters and W3A-Sokol and Mi-24 helicopters were presented. From the equipment of the Police of the Czech Republic, visitors could see the emergency vehicle of the Rapid Deployment Unit (URNA), classic emergency vehicles, but also the Gladiator X8 ATVs for field intervention. Firefighters presented themselves with a variety of emergency equipment from tankers, cranes to rescue tanks, they also showed, for example, an IVECO emergency vehicle with a Magirus ladder or a CAS tank car sprayer in various designs. The Customs Administration presented a mobile high-capacity X-ray and rescue services of individual regions with their ambulances.
