I had my first contact with the mountains in 2020, when I went on my first serious mountain trip to Rysy from the Polish side. I convinced myself that I had to climb the roof of Poland, without any experience with the mountains. The goal at that moment was not achieved, but I understood that the mountains would stay with me for a long time. Perhaps the fact that the mountain became an obstacle that could not be overcome caused the desire to train and conquer other peaks in order to gain experience. At that point, I had practically conquered everything possible in the Polish Tatras, there were no trails, so the adventure with mountaineering began, but that is a story for another time... Three years after my first trip to the mountains, I managed to conquer the first four-thousander and cross the picturesque, majestic and oh-so-magnificent Castor ridge, located on the border of Switzerland and Italy. The ridge turned out to be a challenge, but mainly mental. The precipices ending with crevasses on both sides stirred the imagination and raised the question - What could happen with an unfortunate step? Fortunately, I did it! Castor (4223 m above sea level) was conquered! I cannot fail to mention that the ascent took place in a team, where before the ridge proper, tied with a rope, we crossed the glacier starting from the Rifuge Quintino Sella al Felik shelter (3585 m above sea level). Warm greetings to the wonderful team and all mountain enthusiasts! See you on the trail!
