Life in a castle is not always as beautiful as one imagines. Dozens of rooms to heat, roofs to restore and hectares of parks to maintain. A titanic task and expenses that turn the dream into a nightmare. The Count and Countess Alain and Hélène inherited the family castle forty years ago. They have become its slaves. They would like to pass the castle on to their descendants. But none of their three daughters wants to inherit the burden. A few dozen kilometers further, another family, the de Mézeracs, have taken up the challenge. The younger generation has agreed to inherit the castle built by their ancestor, Elie de Beaumont in the 18th century. But the building is taking on water, the ceilings are collapsing, the roof needs to be redone and a terrible fungus is threatening. Brothers, sisters and cousins have come together to try to cope, but the expenses are too much for everyone. How long will they hold out? The temptation to sell is sometimes strong. Like many lords of the manor, the de Mézeracs often regret not having been born in a suburban house. Author: Amélie Grout - Patrice Lucchini - Cécile Alégra - Bernard Montpert. Productions Tony Comiti
