Casa Lakshmi is a three-level villa surrounded by a garden with fruit trees, in the heart of Rome near the Vatican, completely renovated and designed by the architects Bacci Marzoli, according to the principles of eco-sustainable architecture and with suggestions from different cultures. The guiding idea of the project was to create open and fluid spaces without separations, continuously communicating the interiors with each other and the interiors with the outside, thus creating large open spaces and large glass areas with steel frames. The materials used are brushed oak parquet and strips of an Indian stone that recalls wood in size, color and grain, creating a continuous osmosis between the inside and the outside; natural lime-based plasters in the warm colors of lime white, solar yellow and Indian red; ventilated roofs in laminated wood treated with citrus-based terpene and final copper covering; radiant floors; insulation of walls, floors and roofs with cork panels. The house was designed according to criteria deriving from feng shui where water and light are the protagonists.
