Carnival parade 2023 in Mühlheim That's exactly what's so great about carnival parades: you may be surrounded by global, national and regional excitement, but under the guise of carnival everything seems very relaxed because it's taken with great humor and excessive nonchalance. This was also the case last Saturday, when a carnival parade was formed again in Mühlheim (municipality of Mörnsheim) after a two-year corona break. Regardless of whether it was topics from the village or crises across Germany: there was something for every spectator on Saturday. It was thanks to the members of the Mühlheim village community, who once again managed to send an extremely varied, colorful and entertaining fun parade with a total of 21 groups through the village past several hundred enthusiastic spectators. Starting from the fire station, where Franz Spiegel had everything under control, the parade meandered through the town - and the word "meandering" is to be taken literally in Mühlheim, because the fun parade actually described an S-shaped curve on its approximately one-hour run through the town. It started promptly at 2 p.m., and the spectators were given a quick run-through of the most important village topics, garnished with colorful groups, guards and fun-makers. There was also a mobile Edeka market, which is supposed to make people forget about the local banks. "The Raiffeisen and the Sparkasse have both checked that even the money in Mernsa is ruined," was written on the mobile supermarket cart. Another cart reviewed the illegal Corona party two years ago. A group from Tagmersheim showed how an après-ski party works. "Drinking is also a sport," rang out loudly from the speakers. There was also an Eiffel Tower, an oversized beer crate and a magic school in Mühlheim. The climate glue also got its fair share: "Don't stick yourself down, learn to read and write." Even the shortage of skilled workers was addressed. Above all the topics, the peaceful competition for booming decibels or even tractor horsepower shone through. At the end of the parade, the participants and spectators gathered at Lindenplatz and the parade seamlessly transitioned into a village party - completely legal this year.
