American psychologist Carl Rogers was born in 1902 and died in 1987. His theory argues that human beings are endowed with an essentially positive nature and that we are constantly moving in search of self-realization. Rogers was a phenomenologist, so he understood that each individual perceives the world in a unique way. In this video, we offer an overview of the personality theory developed by Rogers, also known as person-centered personality theory. Concepts such as phenomenal field, self, and ideal self are presented.
