A car drove into a crowd at the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany. The driver of the car was taken into custody, the German news agency dpa reported, citing a government spokesman for the eastern German state of Saxony-Anhalt. According to witnesses, the car apparently drove into the crowd intentionally. Footage from the scene shows ambulances, and initial reports indicate at least one person has died and dozens have been injured in the attack. Police have urged people to leave, and media reports say they are searching the area for explosives.
