The unit of measurement for a capacitor is the farad. In order to measure a capacitor, we must have testing devices that support farad testing. If a measuring device that supports farad testing is not available, can we test the capacitor in ways other than farad testing? Yes, we can test the capacitor using resistance. Here, we must have a device that supports resistance measurement and has a large reading of ohms in megaohms. In this video, we will explain how to test the capacitor using resistance. If there are no measuring devices at all, what do we do? We have two methods for testing the capacitor. The first method is by charging and discharging the capacitor using a resistor (a small bulb). In this video, we explain how to test the capacitor by charging and discharging. If we do not have a bulb to test the capacitor discharge, what do we do? The second method is used to test the capacitor. This method does not require any intermediary. It is also explained in the video. The book used in the explanation is the book of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Ideas, Part Two, Electrical Circuits, by Engineer Emil Fathallah. Presented by: Haitham Saeed
