Sarlat-la-Canéda, the capital of the Périgord Noir, can boast a champion title. With 75 listed or registered buildings on 11 hectares, it is renowned for having the highest density of historical monuments in the world. A wealth that explains why the city of 9,000 inhabitants attracts more than a million and a half visitors each year. Eric Perrin invites you to discover this city with its fascinating history, in the company of Karine Da Cruz, facilitator of architecture and heritage, but also Romain Bondonneau, author of a "Love ABC of Sarlat". Sarlat is not a museum city, it is alive and inhabited. Exceptionally, the owners of the Coq house open the doors of their home to us, whose origins date back to the 14th century! In this program we discover another heritage, more modest, but just as worthy of interest: the Breuil cabins, located a few kilometers from Sarlat, in Saint-André d'Allas. An architectural complex entirely built in dry stones, where Jean-Marc Audit and his family have lived for several generations.
