Background: In the winter of 2018, I went on our first canoe trip with Steve. The Vltava in winter. I knew about warm neoprene boots and a dry suit, but I didn't yet own one. After a miserably cold night, my suffering finally came to an end when I slipped on the stairs in the guesthouse and sprained my hand. Steve continued on to Budweis. This time we enjoyed a relaxed paddling trip and every single boat lane we went through.
