Hi! Let me take you in the cabin between St Michel de Maurienne and Modane. It was Sunday, November 28, 2021, on train 489991 connecting Ambérieu to Modane with: BB 27168 at the head, 18 gas wagons loaded for 1428t, UM with BB 27119 and 37005 pushing. The train was therefore 390m long for a weight of 1698t. If the section of line does not generally pose a problem for heavy trains, that day with the snow and the locomotives that were not necessarily in great shape I had the feeling that the climb was going to be complicated... So I started filming with my phone. I do not regret it. On the program: double disjunction in the first tunnel with isolation of a traction motor on the leading machine. Then just upon arrival one of the pusher locomotives went out (pantograph failure detected while the pantograph was fine). In reality we didn't come very far from a request for help... I deliberately left the soundtrack (almost) intact to get the atmosphere in the cabin that day. Activate the subtitles to have additional information and the transcripts of the radio exchanges between the pusher locomotive driver and me.
