After a few years of absence, back on track with this video of a ride in the cabin of a BB 27000 on a route connecting the Sibelin marshalling yard (Lyon region) to Modane station, via the Lyon Part Dieu, Ambérieu and Chambéry stations. This is a 1300-tonne freight train, transporting containers between Spain (Barcelona) and Italy (Busto Arsizio) on behalf of a Swiss client (Hupac). The maximum speed of the convoy is 100 km/h. From St Jean de Maurienne, a BB 36300 type pusher locomotive is added at the end of the convoy in order to climb the steep slope to Modane.
