Traffic on the outer Aspangbahn takes place seven days a week, with at least one train per hour from Wiener Neustadt to Aspang Markt. In addition to the regional trains to Aspang Markt, REX trains run every hour to every two hours, which continue from Aspang on the Wechselbahn to Styria (mostly Hartberg, Fehring). This means that in some cases there is an almost half-hourly service.
