Hello! I haven't posted video instructions on car repair for a long time. Unfortunately or fortunately, this video is not about Tiguans)) or the VAG group. By the way, having worked at a service center in the USA, I will conclude and voice the thoughts of Americans that the VAG is a rather clunky and hemorrhoidal car for the repair and service of which you need to pay a lot of money). And to what extent I agree with this, it all depends on what you compare it with. So, today I am repairing a 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS 30 HYBRID. With an error in the brake system C1391 Leakage in accumulator abmormal Abnormal battery leak. The problem is not that widespread, but it often occurs on Priuses with a mileage of over 200,000 miles or 320,000 km. Especially treat cars that have NEVER had their brake fluid changed during this mileage. The problem is treated by replacing the ABS unit. I know that in the former CIS countries, these units are disassembled, tinkered with, the valves are repaired, but this is not the American method. Brakes are serious, and if anything happens, someone will be the scapegoat, and the service does not want to be it, and especially the master). Therefore, we install everything that the client brought, and we are also responsible for the work performed, and the rest is to the client. The service is responsible for new units / parts purchased through the service. So, I went aside) The ABS accumulator has an internal leak and does not hold pressure, because of this, a cyclical sound of a working pump is heard from the hood, which is trying to maintain a constantly escaping pressure. When the ECU detects error C1391, the ABS, VSC indicator lights up on the instrument panel and, on older models, a red ominous triangle on half of the instrument panel. With a malfunction indication, the hybrid brake energy recovery system is disabled and the car practically becomes ordinary and boring, like a Deo Sens.)) So, replacing the ABS unit is not possible without a diagnostic scanner, this is important! Who does not have it, do not even start work, because 40% of standard hours are programming and adapting the new unit to the car. This is the harsh reality. In this video, I will show all the stages of replacing the ABS unit on this wonderful car, from the moment of diagnostics, specific noise under the hood, preparation, disassembly, replacement and adaptation of the new unit. If after watching the video you still have questions, please write them in the comments, it is not difficult. I will try to answer all the questions. I hope the movie turned out to be understandable, easy, and even useful to someone! ;) If at some point something is not clear, there are questions on this issue, you want to know my opinion, or disagree with something, ask questions, write comments, talk, discuss.
