More than forty bus cleaners are at risk of becoming victims of a new offer for cleaning work for Qbuzz buses. This was reported by the CNV trade union. The cleaners from Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe are not sure whether they will still have work after 15 December. CNV wants Qbuzz and the new cleaning company HSU to adhere to the Cleaning Code. They must guarantee that the current cleaners will keep their jobs. From 15 December, when Qbuzz takes over bus transport in Friesland from Arriva, Qbuzz will be working with a new party, cleaning company HSU. Jan Kampherbeek of CNV: “If the cleaners had been employed by Arriva or Qbuzz themselves, they would have been obliged to transfer. As CNV, we believe: the work of the cleaners will continue, so the cleaners will also continue.” According to the CNV, the cleaners who are currently still employed by Kleentech and OVcare must be offered a contract by HSU. “That has not happened so far,” says Kampherbeek. “Both Qbuzz and HSU do not want to make any firm commitments that they will still have their jobs.” He strongly suspects that they do not want to take on everyone. ???????????? ► Welcome to Omroep Organisatie Groningen (OOG), the local news channel where you can really get to know the city of Groningen and the surrounding villages in the municipality! ► OOG is all about bringing current news, fascinating reports, fascinating stories and surprising events from the region.
