In our documentary format "The extra time of..." we dedicate ourselves to former professional football players and show you the careers of these players after their careers ended. ???? For the first edition of the format, we met former St. Pauli keeper Benedikt Pliquett. After 10 years at FC St. Pauli and foreign stints at Sturm Graz and Atletico Baleares, he returned to the Kiez after his career ended. On the Reeperbahn, the Hamburg native now runs three sex shops, the "Alkotheke" bar and an underground club as managing partner. In the documentary, we take a look behind the scenes of his sex shops and Benedikt talks openly about why he feels more comfortable in this role today than when he was a professional. For many years, he has been actively involved in fighting right-wing structures in football and society and also explains why he thinks the DFB is ignoring this problem.
