Last Wednesday we witnessed two turning points, the impact of which will not be felt for many years. First, Donald Trump won the US presidential election. At the same time, the government coalition in Germany fell apart and there will be early elections at the beginning of the new year. In the two countries on which the Czech Republic is economically and politically dependent, a fundamental change in the political set-up is taking place or is likely to take place. We do not yet know what features the so-called Trumponomics. Will there really be significantly more oil and gas production in the US, so that its price will drop on world markets? Will Trump cut corporate taxes to 15 percent? Will Elon Musk prepare a deregulatory revolution in business? Or will the new American administration apply an aggressive customs policy towards the world? Will it start an economic war between different countries? What will be the relationship between the US president and the likely German chancellor, Merz, who is a former investment banker? Will Germany negotiate special conditions for exports to the US? And how will it affect the Czech economy? These and other questions suggest that we could be witnessing a turning point in which long-term accumulated problems (reregulated economy, war in Ukraine) will be resolved. The question is what this will mean for Czech politics, which is based on this as a derivative activity. In another part of the podcast, we deal with the American election campaign, which marked the triumph of podcast media, which had a major political influence on the distribution of information among Americans. What would Petros Michopulos advise Czech politicians if he wanted to give them some advice? And what would the tiktok communication format look like for Minister Jurečka? Bullshit and politics is a podcast by commentator Bohumil Pečinka and Petros Michopoulos, a man who has been involved in marketing and politics for a quarter of a century. Current politics from the point of view of two different personalities who are not afraid to say their opinions. An incorrect podcast that puts things into context and strictly separates empty nonsense from real politics.
