What can you build from an IBC container, a roll of chicken wire, charcoal, gravel and a pile of old potato sacks? That's right, a filter system for pond water! The extremely successful pond construction project is entering a new phase. So that our pond water no longer has to hide from its Caribbean counterpart, Fynn, Brian and Waldo are installing a massive filter system. So that when snorkelling and diving, the magnificent underwater world and the sunken submarine can finally be admired. Maybe we'll even find a pair of Brian's missing shoes. But first it's a case of oxygen in, nitrates out. So to get the pond water really clean, the guys are putting together a sophisticated, multi-stage (!!!) filter system. The more surface area the IBCs offer, the more dirt can be filtered out - logical! While laying layers of gravel, coal and filter mats, Fynn gives a few singing performances and Brian struggles through some tricky tasks, letting out a noise or two... When the whole filter system is finally up and running, it naturally has to be tested to see if it all works. The first impression confirms: the water quality has improved considerably thanks to the filter system - mission accomplished! And because, as we all know, what we see is what we see, many hard-working helpers have (temporarily) covered the filter system with wooden slats and roofing felt. So if you are in Kliemannsland next year as a helper or visitor and take part in a swimming competition, a cannonball competition or something similar, you may well be given the honor of climbing our filtering winners' podium. Kliemannsland - that's Fynn Kliemann, his friends and many helpers who do cool shit on a farm in the north! What? You can help decide on that at www.kliemannsland.de. A few videos will come out that you can watch. Every Sunday and if you're lucky, on Thursdays too!
