In this video, I show you how I build a half-timbered roof for my PV modules over the garden terrace. If you want to cover your terrace in a stylish, stable and functional way, you've come to the right place! I'll also show you how to make a terrace weatherproof and give you lots of DIY tips for construction. Contents of the video: ✅ Introduction and overview of the project ✅ Materials and tools I use ✅ Construction of the posts and cross braces ✅ Installation of the rafters and rough-sawn boards ✅ Attaching the gutter and end sheets ✅ Assembly of the OSB boards and welded sheets ✅ Tips for fastening and stabilization Roof for the garden kitchen In this section, I explain the construction of the half-timbered roof over my garden kitchen, which is now protected from wind and weather. This creates the perfect basis for the later installation of a photovoltaic system. 1. Set the posts: I used four sturdy 12x12 cm beams on H-post anchors, which are concreted into KG pipes to ensure maximum stability. 2. Install cross braces and rafters: These provide the necessary stability and bear the weight of the roof. Robust rafters and counter battens are used here. 3. Rough-sawn boards and OSB panels: These ensure the load-bearing capacity of the roof. Carefully cut, they provide a solid foundation for further waterproofing. 4. Welded sheets and end plates: Weatherproof welded sheets and anthracite-colored end plates protect the roof from moisture and rain. 5. Install gutter: I installed a high-quality gutter to drain rainwater, which works reliably even in heavy rain. Product links: ???? H-post anchor: https://amzn.to/3TeDqEi ????
