Line B comprises 21 stations along 20 kilometers from Buenavista to Ciudad Azteca, being the fourth most used line in the metro network, behind lines 2, 1 and 3; since it mobilizes more than 600 thousand users a day. Its inauguration was in 1999, the first section from Buenavista to Villa de Aragon, and in 2000, its final section to Ciudad Azteca, a project that was originally going to be a feeder line like line A, was merged with the project for line 10, leaving it with its current route. However, this line has been pending an extension since its construction. How much do you know about the Buenavista-Hipódromo section? The existence of the 1996 Metro Master Plan with a 2020 horizon came to light when line B was under construction. The train fleet is made up of 36 MP-68 rehabilitated in 1996 and 1999, several MP-68 that began their rehabilitation in 1993, recently with their new Chopper traction and braking system.
