Predecessors of the Triumphal Bell: before 1280, 1290, 1496 (Simon Waghevens), 1525 (Waghevens), 1683 (Melchior De Haze), 1718 (Willem Witlockx), 1741 (Joris Dumery), 1743 (Joris Dumery). In 1743, the Holy Blood Bell by Joris Dumery burst. The current Triumphal Bell originally bore the name Maria and until then was the bourdon of the Church of Our Lady. The actual Triumph Bell was originally cast for the church of Our Lady. Around 1800, the bell was transferred to the belfry in order to replace the previous Triumph Bell, cracked in 1743 and casted by 'Joris Dumery', founder of the actual carillon. The Triumph Bell rings on all major civil celebrations and for Christmas, Easter and the Procession of the Holy Blood. Jusqu'aujourd'hui, the Cloche de Triomphe is the cloche civile et sonne pour les grandes fêtes civiles et pour Noël, Pâques et la Procession du Saint-Sang.
