It describes the way in which most people in Serbia live who were born or are connected to the village by the umbilical cord of their ancestors. In its dramatic basis, the story relies on the well-known gallery of characters from the cult series "The Village is Burning and the Grandma Combs Her Hair", on the simplicity, honesty, naivety and kindness of its heroes. "Brothers in the Grandmother's Lineage" is part of a saga that nostalgically depicts a forgotten world of a disappearing Serbian village. It is another honest picture of Moravian Serbia from the frame of its author, which he, in several decades of his creative work, faithfully preserves and describes. In a fresh dramatic setting, the protagonists are displaced from the well-known rural setting into new situations and circumstances, faced with the hope that they can change their lives for the better overnight and make their dreams come true. The condition is - to renounce themselves, to accept new benchmarks and symbols of the consumer society. In the lives of the main characters Radašin and Milasin, who at the beginning of the film we find in a normal aggregate state of "quarrels without any reason", one day the same letter arrives, addressed to each of them individually. They, delighted by the letter and guided by the dream of a better life and the solution to all problems, set off from Petlovac on a journey... only they know where - and which one? But, as often happens in life, instead of reaching Belgrade where a distant relative from Australia awaits them, Radašin will get lost with a mysterious blonde in the gigantic mountains where bears roar, and Milasin, instead of reaching the wealth that awaits him before Radašin, will get stuck in the village of Vranovo, on the Sokolovica mountain, from which there is a view of the security zone, where drones every day scout the few Serbs who survived there and remained, as they bury, mourn, eat and drink... Thus, their journey towards a better tomorrow becomes a journey to infinity. With a multitude of comical situations, circumstances and encounters, our heroes will make the story resemble a comedy of the absurd.
