Three years ago we accompanied the Berghof Babel with our camera during the hay harvest. But a lot has happened since our first visit: There are new machines for mowing and raking and a new hay storage hall with drying facility has been built on the farm. Reason enough for an update. While the first part of our new video deals with forage-friendly mowing and raking, in the sequel we will now look at the new hay storage hall. We accompany Herbert Babel as he drives in the new Strautmann hay loading wagon and we present the Arwego hay drying system in detail. There are some special technical features that enable efficient hay drying. We also look at the feeding of the 70 dairy cows. Tobi prepares a tasty TMR from hay, water and grain. On top of that, the cows get fresh grass once a day. Unusual machines are also used for grazing: a double-blade mower with auger and a loading wagon with a special chassis that protects the soil.
