This video reviews more than two thousand years of the history of what we know today as Catalonia. Over the course of ten minutes, we will discover the most important events in a region that is essential to the history of Spain. Greeks, Romans, Visigoths, Franks, Muslims... left their mark on Catalonia. Since Roman Hispania and, above all, from the Middle Ages onwards, its destiny is closely linked to the vicissitudes of the history of Spain, first within the Crown of Aragon and, later, within the Hispanic Monarchy. The rise of nationalism in the 20th century has broken a coexistence that for centuries has brought wealth and well-being.
