Sam and Timo have to come to school together at half past seven as punishment, to the janitor. He forces them to mop the floor. Timo is very annoyed with the janitor and when Gerrit Veldt tells the boys that they can come back again for more punishment, Timo loses his temper. He runs after the janitor in a heated argument. Later, Timo claims that the janitor hit him. His parents come angrily to get the story. They demand that the janitor be fired. Something that the students at the Willem Alexander College applaud. However, Sam knows that it is not true. But does he tell this too..? Because it could cost him his friendship, to save the janitor he hates… But if he says nothing, the janitor is wrongly fired.
