About :

This video is a 4K60fps side view (car window) of the bronze-colored 273 series "Limited Express Yakumo No. 7" that began operating on the JR West Hakubi Line, the first new train in 42 years. The new train, the 273 series "Yakumo" is a limited express train that connects Okayama to Izumo City and began operating on April 6, 2024. In this video, I took a video of the view from the car window of the bronze-colored 273 series "Limited Express Yakumo No. 7" from Okayama to Yonago when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The video was shot on two screens of the side view from the 5th car of the 273 series, and also included scenes of the train departing and arriving at Okayama Station and Yonago Station. I would like to upload other sections in the future. The new 273 series train introduces the first "on-board controlled natural pendulum system" mechanism in Japan. This is a gyro sensor installed in the car body, and the car's position is detected by comparing the movement of the car body when passing through a curve with map data. Combined with the conventional position detection from the ATS on-board device, it is now possible to continuously detect the current position of the vehicle with extremely high accuracy. The maximum speed is the same as before, 120km/h. The exterior of the new 273 series train is eye-catching with its innovative bronze design. It is inspired by the morning sun of Mt. Daisen, the sunset of Lake Shinji, and the reddish brown color of Sekishu tiles. The symbol mark is the same as before, with the image of a cloud, and is characterized by a flowing dynamism. The chime inside the new 273 series train plays the song "I LOVE..." by "office HIGE DANdism" for the Izumo City direction. The interior of the new 273 series train is a spacious specification with three rows of green cars (two seats + one seat), and the yellow base color creates a bright and spacious interior space. The seats are decorated with a "stone pile tortoise shell" pattern inspired by the shell of a turtle. The "ordinary car" is a standard seat with four rows of green seats. The design is inspired by the mountains along the line. The seats are decorated with a hemp leaf pattern, which has been used in Shinto rituals since ancient times and is said to have the meaning of warding off evil spirits. The seat pitch is 1,040 mm, which is wider than the 970 mm of the 381 series, improving the comfort of the train. ``Semi-compartment seats'' The newly established group seats have a semi-private atmosphere, with three rows of box seats (2 people + 4 people) facing each other. The seats can be folded flat, and a large table is installed to provide a moderate amount of private space. The windows are also large, so you can enjoy the scenery passing by. ``Other facilities'' The passenger compartment is equipped with Wi-Fi and all seats have power outlets. The wheelchair space has been expanded, and a multi-purpose room and free space that anyone can use have been installed. In addition, air purifiers are installed and antibacterial and anti-viral treatment has been applied. ``Limited Express Yakumo No. 7'' departs from Okayama Station and first runs on the Sanyo Main Line to Kurashiki Station. Just before Kurashiki Station, the train crosses the Sanyo Main Line using the elevated track for the Hakubi Line and enters the Hakubi Line platform. From Kurashiki Station, the train enters the Hakubi Line, eventually passing under the elevated track of the Sanyo Shinkansen, and then passes Kiyone Station as the elevated track of the Ibara Railway comes into view. After passing Soja Station, a connecting station for the Kibi Line (Momotaro Line), the train heads north along the Takahashi River and arrives at Bitchu Takahashi Station. The cherry blossom trees along the Takahashi River continue to provide a beautiful view. Kinoyama Station and Bitchu Kawamo Station also have beautiful cherry blossom trees, and as the train continues on to Hokoku Station, the mountains close in on both sides and the Takahashi River becomes more twisty. From there, the train heads further north and arrives at Niimi Station, a connecting station for the Kishin Line. The train leaves Niimi Station, passes through the Bukugasaka Tunnel, and passes Nunohara Station, famous for being a remote station. At Bitchu Jindai Station, the train separates from the Geibi Line and travels along the Nishikawa River through a section with a series of steep gradients and sharp curves. After passing Shingo Station and crossing the Yata Pass Tunnel on the border between Okayama and Tottori prefectures, the train enters Tottori prefecture and descends all the way to Ikuyama Station. From there, the train runs along the Hino River, passing Kamisuge Station, Kurosaka Station, and Neu Station. This section is lined with a series of famous photo spots, and people can often be see
