This is the story of the series Breaking Bad told for the first time in chronological order. Prehistory This story begins with a 6-year-old boy named Walter White. He had a difficult childhood because his father passed away when he was just a child. Walter's father had a brain disease, and living with his sick father was very traumatic for little Walter. He would carry this trauma for the rest of his life. Gustavo Fring Far away, in Chile, lived little Gustavo Fring, who was born into a very poor family. He lived with his family in a house made of garbage. Throughout his childhood, Gustavo went hungry and had many basic needs. He grew up in a hostile climate with violent people and soon learned the hard way to live life. After a few years, Gustavo managed to improve his life a lot, and got together with a partner in Mexico. They had a recipe for fast food that was very successful, and that's how they managed to open a few restaurants. And this chain was called Los Polos Hermanos. But this restaurant chain, despite being real and having its secret recipe very well guarded, also had other secrets. Behind the scenes of the restaurant, another substance was being made: they cooked methamphetamine and used the restaurants to launder the money and make a big profit from the sale of the drug. One time Gustavo supplied his drug to some men with the aim of meeting the biggest drug dealer in the region. And as a result of this, he and his partner were called to meet Juarez, the leader of the cartel, in person. Juarez, upon learning that they cooked much more than chicken, decided to eliminate the chemist who cooked for Gustavo Fring. And he ordered him to go back where he came from and never get involved in the cartel's business again. Gustavo Fring was spared and this turned out to be a mistake. Gustavo and his partner's goal was to supply high-quality goods to the cartel, but the proposal was rejected. The person who shot Gustavo's partner was Hector Salamanca, who will play an important role in the course of the story. Back to Walter Back to Walter, as the years passed and Walter grew up he discovered that he had an intelligence far above average, being able to do well in practically anything. And science became one of his passions. Being a brilliant student, Walter was admitted to a great university and there his life would begin to be traced. His closest classmates were Gretchen and Elliot. After some time in college Elliot became best friends with Walter and Gretchen, since she was Walter's girlfriend. Walter and Elliot spent a lot of time together studying and dedicating their lives to science, because of their busy daily lives, they ate only instant noodles. But some time passed and Walter had a brilliant idea to create a gigantic multimillion-dollar company. And to found this idea, Walter called his best friend Elliot. The choice of the name involved joining the surnames of the two founders and so Walter and Elliot founded Gray Matter. The goal of the company was to profit from all the scientific discoveries that Walter had made practically alone. In 1985, Walter White created a project that advanced the radiography process worldwide and, thanks to this, he won the Nobel Prize. The company slowly began to make money, but Gretchen and Elliott began to pressure Walter to leave the company. Since the two saw the company's potential, they decided to team up and cut Walter out. And Walter ended up giving in and selling his share of the company to his fiancée and his best friend. They paid Walter about $5,000 to formally leave the company, as they both knew that the company was just a few steps away from making millions.
