LUXURY CARS FROM BRABUS: These are the luxury tuners from the Ruhr region WELT DRIVE DOCUMENTARY This documentary follows the complex tuning process of a Mercedes G and Mercedes S class at Brabus. At the Brabus main plant in Bottrop, all vehicles from the manufacturer Daimler have been pimped up according to customer wishes for more than 50 years. Around 450 employees tune current Mercedes models here and breathe new life into iconic vintage cars from the 60s and 70s. The business with the individual cars is international - around 90 percent of the vehicles that are created here are exported. Brabus is known for its Mercedes-Benz adaptations in the Ruhr region. The company has been offering tailor-made cars for more than 40 years. Brabus has international customers who want individual cars that impress not only with their performance but also with their design. The cars are carefully checked at Brabus before they are processed further. Each car is washed to ensure that no dirt damages the sensitive parts. The mechanics work at the limits of physics to increase the vehicles' power up to 900 hp. They expand the displacement of the engines and use turbochargers and exhaust systems to meet the EU's strict noise limits. From vintage cars to Brabus 800 vehicles, the Brabus Classic department restores classic cars such as the 300 SL Gullwing. Restoration often takes months and often costs millions. Individuality is standard. Brabus offers many levels of refinement, from a simple power upgrade to a complete rebuild. A Brabus model is more than just a car with more hp.
