The Nächternhausen model station is the implementation of a planned but never built extension of the electrified Three Lakes Railway from Titisee-Neustadt to Waldshut on the Swiss border. In the fictional station, a narrow-gauge railway and a non-electrified branch line branch off, which leads to Konstanz. Trains from Titisee-Neustadt to Konstanz have to turn around here and change the type of traction. This video is about that. Some technical notes: Since some locomotives with sound were used, this film has neither dubbing nor background music. A PNZEO (PZ-W3) mini camera was used for the cab rides - hence the different image material. In some cases, light reflections can be seen in the track - these come from infrared detectors, which unfortunately cannot be avoided in the video for technical reasons, but are not actually visible on the system. If you want to know more details: The system is documented at https://www.naechternhausen.de.
